Larus, from the Rara Avis collection, has won a Gold medal at the Decanter World Wide Awards, whereas Cygnus Albireo Brut has been honoured as the Best young Cava from Catalonia at the Vinari Awards with a Grand Gold medal.
U MES U Winery, born in 2000 in Font-rubí (Alt Penedès), since its beginning has implemented an organic and sustainable agriculture to produce wines and cavas with a marked personality, far from conventionalism.
Today, this path that began 22 years ago in the search of excellency, is being materialized and recognized in the most prestigious competitions in our country and abroad.
DECANTER AWARDS
The Decanter World Wine Awards (DWWA), organized by the famous British magazine, has granted, in its 19th edition, only 5 gold medals to those sparkling wines of the highest quality in our territory.
One of these special distinctions has been for our Larus Brut Nature, from the Rara Avis collection, an eclectic blend of Pinot Noir Blanc de Noirs and Xarel·lo. The Decanter are awards of great global scope and a benchmark thanks to its jury, that counts with the best experts of the International scene.

VINARI AWARDS
The Vinari awards have distinguished the good work of Catalan wineries with their awards during the last decade. Now, before the summer season begins, they have announced the prizes for young wines, ideal to be enjoyed during the summer months. In the Vinari, the Cava Cygnus Albireo Brut has been recognized with a Grand Gold, positioning itself as the Best young sparkling wine in Catalonia. All joy for U MES U, that has obtained this distinction for the first time.

When it comes to still wines, U MES U always seeks to work with the minimum level of sulphites in order to highlight the unique notes and aromas of each variety at the most.
