CERTIFICATIONS

Environmental commitment is on the basis of U MES U activity

It is not a declaration of intent nor does it respond only to the search for a differential advantage in terms of reputation within our sector. It is a central pillar, which manifests itself throughout the value chain, from viticulture to the responsible use of production and logistics resources. The main visibility of this effort is in the elaboration of organic farming wines and cavas, certified by the CCPAE.

Organic Viticulture — CCPAE

Since 2016, all our wines and cavas have been certified by the CCPAE, guaranteeing 100% organic production without synthetic pesticides or chemicals. In addition, we are part of DO Penedès, the first Designation of Origin in the world to be 100% organic.

In our vineyards, we use sustainable viticulture practices: we apply copper and sulfur in a controlled way and use pheromone-based sexual confusion methods to avoid synthetic chemicals and pesticides. All of this helps protect biodiversity, soil health, and ensures wines with minimal environmental impact.

100% Vegan Products

All our wines and cavas are 100% vegan, produced without using any ingredient or derivative of animal origin in the clarification process or in any other stage of production. This certification ensures that our products fully respect the values of vegan and vegetarian consumers.

The result is an organic, vegan, and sustainable wine, made with responsible criteria and aligned with respect for the environment and animal welfare.

Carbon Footprint — A Low-impact Winery

Every year we calculate and analyse our carbon footprint to measure the greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions generated by our activity. This study allows us to identify key improvement areas, optimise processes, and move towards a more efficient and sustainable production model.
The calculation includes both the winery’s direct and indirect emissions and covers all stages of production for all our wines and cavas, right up to transportation to the customer.

In addition, our carbon footprint is externally verified according to the ISO 14064 standard, ensuring transparency and the rigour of our environmental commitment. Thanks to this annual monitoring, we can reduce the winery’s impact and guarantee an activity that is increasingly respectful of the planet.

Certified by Sustainable Wineries for Climate Protection

We are one of the few sustainable wineries certified by Wineries for Climate Protection (WfCP), the only sustainability certification specifically for the wine sector focused on environmental performance. We obtained this certification in May 2022 and renew it every two years by demonstrating real improvements in four key areas:

  • Reduction of greenhouse gas emissions.
  • Sustainable and efficient water management.
  • Minimization of waste and promotion of recycling.
  • Energy efficiency using renewable sources.

As of mid-2025, only 109 wineries in Spain hold this seal of quality, which confirms our commitment to being a benchmark in sustainable and organic winemaking.

ISO 9001 – A step forward in environmental management and respect for the land

Achieving ISO 9001, the international standard for quality management, meant thoroughly reviewing all our internal processes to ensure that every step meets the highest criteria of safety, traceability, excellence, and commitment to the customer.

The challenge has been to implement a shared culture of continuous improvement, where every decision and every detail helps reinforce the trust of our clients and collaborators.

This certification strengthens a system that guarantees consistent products, efficient processes, and a quality experience for everyone.

ISO 14001 – Ensuring quality in every process and every detail

Respect for the land has always been part of our identity. That is why, in addition to being certified by Sustainable Wineries for Climate Protection (SWfCP) as an environmentally respectful winery, we wanted to take a further step: we have now been certified with ISO 14001.

Implementing this environmental management system has allowed us to optimize resource use, identify our environmental impacts, reduce waste, and improve energy management, minimizing the impact of our activities.

This process required involvement and awareness from the entire team, as well as collaboration with suppliers and local organizations. Today, we can say that we work in a more efficient and responsible way.
